So far in my attempt to get to Memorial University of Newfoundland I have had many problems. First thing that happened was the housing application problems. That is, my application got sent three times for no reason. After that was done we were not sure that my application for the university itself made it there on time. Of course the student loan forms had a misprint and were sent off two weeks late and then we were not sure if the application for the application was received in the first place. Now something even worse had happened.
I got a copy of my official transcript today but there were some problems. The main problem is that roughly half my grade 12 courses were not on it!! If the courses that were missed had been things like Geography or History I would not be so concerned. However the courses that are missing are ones like math and chemistry both of which I need to get into university. Also since the university will receive my transcript within a week they may look at it and then say "Well, it seems as if you didn't finish all the courses required to get into this university, you have to be rejected". Not that I am overly worried as I can always go back to high school for an extra year, get some more courses, and hope that I get into MUN the next year.
Thankfully, I got some help from some people in my school and hopefully everything will be worked out by next week. Now there is an even bigger problem. I'm all for a small campfire every so often, but an almost almost province wide fire is not my idea of fun. What really annoys me is that I go to sleep and have my window open so that I can cool down at night, but now I can't do that without waking up barely able to breath. This is terrible because I'm trying to do a physics course and the constant heat and smoke is making me tired so it's becoming harder and harder to get my work done. At least I am getting through the course faster now that the frist few units are done.
Now all I can do is work as fast as I can so I can have at least a bit of a summer, and hopefully not die from the smoke or heat. This is going to fun...
